RAF Binbrook Heritage Centre.

The Heritage Centre project is within a two-acre site on the former RAF Binbrook airfield based around the former control tower and fire section, surrounded by the Bomber Command Memorial Park, the 460 Squadron RAAF Ident Square Memorial, the Hughie Edwards VC Memorial and the memorial trees planted to those brave bomber crews lost during the dark days of WWII and to those lost in later years.

We are very happy in the knowledge that the memorials to the brave bomber crews and RAF Binbrook’s association with the iconic Fairey Battle, Vickers Wellington, Avro Lancaster, Avro Lincoln, English Electric Canberra. Hawker Hunter, Gloster Javelin and English Electric Lightning are preserved forever.

Please be aware that hazards from the MOD demolition of this area and the recent demolition of our western boundary are still being addressed and common sense should be used when visiting.

There is no smoking allowed on site and dogs are not allowed because of protected species and ground nesting birds.

To comply with our Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy, children and vulnerable adults must be supervised at all times..

We have a picnic and camping area although facilities for camping are minimal at the moment.

All litter and waste must be taken home with you..
